HERITAGE HOGS
No antibiotics, no vaccines, no hormones, ever.
DIRECT FROM THE FARMER

We are happy to raise Heritage Hogs at our farm here in Oak Park, MN. I think we are pretty unique in the fact that we are primarily a produce farm, so we naturally have a limitless supply of tarnished produce that is not 'pretty', but they hogs love it! 

They also get a free-choice grain offered to them around the clock. They know when they want more fresh plant/veg material or grains. Giving them the option to eat what they want, when they want, results in a great healthy hog who yields high quality proteins with great marbling! 

We primary sell our Hogs as Halves and Wholes. Where our customers commit to a whole or a half hog and then work directly with the butcher shop to get their pork processed to their liking. We also offer our pork by the cut at the farm stand during the summer and also at our year-end Fall Sale. 

We use the composted hog manure on our farm fields and it fertilizes the following season's crops. We try to do everything we can to create a full circle, sustainable environment here at our farm. Check out how to get in touch with our Heritage Hog products below!

WHOLES & HALVES

This is where our customers commit to either a Half or a Whole Hog. Working directly with our butcher shop to get your pork processed to your liking. 
 

If you're new to this idea: I walk you through the whole process; what options you have for cuts, trim, I even explain how we get our own hog processed and the reasoning behind it. We want to make ordering as easy as possible!

Our prices have been the same since January 1st 2024!
 

Average Cost Breakdown: A Whole Hog average weight is 250#, for a Half Hog, expect about 125#.

 

So a Half Hog would cost $470 (at 125#) and a Whole Hog would cost $940 (at 250#) plus processing.

 

Processing is separate and paid directly to the butcher shop (Backroads Meats in Milaca).

 

Expect a Half Hog to cost about $175 and a Whole Hog to cost about $350.

(This is for butchering, cutting, smoking hams, varies by customer).
 

$3.75/ LB

Expect a Half Hog to take 3-4 cubic feet of space and a Whole Hog to take 7-8 cubic feet of space. 

DEPOSITS

To sign up for your Half or Whole Hog, follow the button below that will direct you to the Farm Store page where you can submit an online deposit.

It's a $100 deposit for a Half Hog & a $200 deposit for a Whole Hog and all the butcher date options are listed. Deposits are not refundable, but they are transferrable.

BY THE CUT

This is exactly what it sounds like. We bring our hogs into the butcher shop and then sell individual packages of different cuts. 
 

Some cuts are priced by the pound and others are priced by the package because there are standard sizes. For example, a package of brats is always going to have 5 brats, but a package of bacon can vary by weight for each package. 
 

Every package will be clearly labeled with the price for easy shopping!
 

We also offer bundles of pork products seasonally at our Fall Sale Event.
 

**These cuts are only available seasonally at our farm stand from mid July through the beginning of Oct, and also our Fall Sale Event here at the farm.
