    Greetings All! Just like that, folks, and we went from a really, really bad drought to just a really bad drought ;P That's not to say we aren't thankful for the few inches of rain we did get though!! That rain did save a few varieties we have out there, literally. I mentioned this before but our irrigation has been on for about a month now... it just never turns off.     What's local?

    So what is "local"? This city, this county, state even? The exact definition depends on where you buy your food. For instance, the grocery store, farmer's market & food Co-op have different standards for local. Our CSA Share Program has different standards for local as well. We have made a pledge to keep all of our CSA pick-up sites within an hour of our farm.     Butternut Squash

    Special side note: Winter squash does not mean winter!! No need to worry, we have several weeks left before it freezes. If you are not a “squash” person, please consider giving them another chance! Winter Squash comes in hundreds of different varieties, literally.
